Wow!! That month went really fast and it's time for the November issue of Gardening Australia. Argh! November already!!!!This month is a very special issue of our favourite Gardening Australia magazine. It's the 20th Birthday issue and as a treat it includes a free packet of seeds to get you out planting.
You'll have to read it to believe this but there is an article all about a vegetable orchestra!!! There are even instructions for you to make a Carrot Clarinet.
Lots of information about what to do to prepare your garden for the coming blast of summer!
The lovely Maggie Beer is back this time with information on growing (and cooking) Peas! Great because my little patch of peas is almost ready for harvesting. I only have a small window of growing time for podded peas and usually grow the edible podded varieties.
This issue includes a FREE catalogue from Garden Express to drool over.
In the Gardening Diary this month Jerry Coleby-Williams tells us how to care for our edible plants during the coming summer.
Millie Ross is feeling clucky...it's OK the story is all about keeping Chooks!
This is a Special Collector's Edition and as such those generous folks at Morey Media, who do the PR for Gardening Australia, not only sent me a freebie copy of this latest magazine so that I could review it here for you but they have sent THREE more copies for me to giveaway readers of my blog.
So make sure you mention the magazine in a comment below for your chance to win a copy!
Or you can leave a comment on the wall of the new Scarecrow's Garden Facebook Page.
Be quick because we will pick 3 winners on Friday 28th October at 5pm!
Don't forget to check out the Gardening Australia website

ReplyDeleteHi Brenda
ReplyDeleteWe have had tours of the garden in the past but right now we are busy with renovations both inside the house and in the garden.
We have had a few trees either die off or blow down so there are a few to get rid of...but that means I have room for more new garden beds!!!
So sorry the garden isn't fit for viewing just now...believe me!
Hi Matron
As I have been sent the magazines this time and I will be sending them out I have no problem including your name in the draw! Consider yourself included.
Hi Melinda
Yes the Collector's edition is available in newsagents but why not wait until after Friday's draw to see if you are a winner before buying your copy! ;)
Oh oh oh I would love to have it pls pls pls....Every time we visit the library this Gardening Australia magazines are mostly out on loan and we cannot borrow the latest mag. It would be great if I can have it. I promise I will tell DS it is from you. Even he knows your blog! Is that enough to make us the recipient? :P
ReplyDeleteGardening Australia magazine is a very popular mag in our local library. So many people want to read it. Sometime I have to wait long or come many times just to be able to read it.
ReplyDeleteAwesome! I used to be an avid reader of the gardening magazines in the UK, and am using Gardening Australia as a great way to make the transition from UK planting to Aussie planting.. quite a challenge, made more so by the sand on which most of Perth sits! Just landed here via the PermacultureWest site and very pleased to have found it!! I've just signed up as a follower :)
ReplyDeleteI love the photo on the lastest issue of Gardening Australia magazine. Peter Cundall is a true Gardening icon and a huge inspiration to me. Seeing his big beaming smile is blooming wonderful!
